Thousands Left Without Electricity in South-East Queensland and Victoria Following Severe Storms
Around twenty-five thousand residences in southeastern Queensland woke up without power on Monday morning after powerful weather events passed over the state, bringing wind gusts hitting 109km/h.
Massive Ice Stones and Extensive Damage
Residents observed substantial frozen pellets measuring up to seven centimeters in particular locations. Weather authorities confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been hit with large hailstones.

Meanwhile, around 1,000 residents in the southern state also faced power outages after the capital city recorded its wettest day in 18 months.
Rescue organizations received over five hundred emergency reports across the region, mainly for property damage but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

At one point on the previous day, in excess of 28,000 energy customers in Victoria were lacking electricity.
Meteorological Predictions
Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along large portions of Queensland's east this coming days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the coast.
The following day was forecast to be the most rainy day, with persistent severe weather risk predicted across different parts of both areas.
Health Warning
Medical authorities warned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
This caution comes after past events where analogous circumstances led to significant health impacts in the region.
