During a public appearance to Lichfield Cathedral on the start of the week, the King was confronted by a individual who questioned him about his brother's connections with disgraced financier Epstein.

The protester inquired how long the monarch had been known about his brother's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had asked the authorities to "conceal" for Andrew.

Amid the protest, there were throngs of fans and applause for the King, who was in the region for an event.

Prince Andrew's associations with Jeffrey Epstein have been under renewed focus in the past few weeks. The royal, who gave up his titles earlier this month, has strongly denied any wrongdoing.

"For how long have you been aware about Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Have you asked the police to conceal for Andrew?"

The King remained silent but continued greeting fans, some of whom shouted "God Save The King". One fan can be overheard requesting him for a hug.

Another woman outside the venue was also observed telling the protester to "leave" and to "shut up".

Scandal Revived by Memoir

The controversy over Prince Andrew's links to Jeffrey Epstein has been reignited by sexual abuse claims repeated in Virginia Giuffre's recently released memoir.

In the memoir, Ms Giuffre says she had sex with the royal on three separate occasions, including one instance with Jeffrey Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Prince Andrew, who reached a financial settlement with the plaintiff in 2022, has consistently denied any misconduct. In a previous interview, he told BBC Newsnight he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "at all", and that they "never had any sort of intimate relations."

New Inquiries About Lifestyle and Living Arrangements

But recently, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to fund his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Windsor mansion has intensified the examination over his housing situation - even though he made large payments up front, including for improvements.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be called in before MPs to give evidence about his lease of his lodge.

But last Thursday, the authorities declined to give parliamentarians time to debate the prince's status or his home, despite growing pressure for investigation.

The royal household has not commented on whether Prince Andrew might move out of his current residence - or where he might reside.
