We present an easy interpretation of a beverage featured on a new drinks list. Designed as a batch pre-mixed that's packed with the tastes associated with holiday season, rendering it perfect for hosting a holiday party. Any leftover syrup to use in brunch beverages, desserts, or to mix additional servings of this cocktail.
The Bikini Cocktail
Yields 10 guests
For the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (yields 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (as made above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Directions
To prepare the Cordial: Combine the listed components inside a pan, bring to a gentle boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Next, take off the heat and let it to reach room temperature entirely. Decant to a clean bottle, seal and store in the refrigerator, it will last for around one month.
For the Batch Mix: Pour every liquids into a big jug, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then filter it preferably using cheesecloth, so it's fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml from the premix to a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and agitate lightly for about 60 seconds to chill. Strain into an cold coupe glass or similar, top with the cranberries and complete it by giving it a quick spritz of the essential oil over the top.
