The financier bought a smaller island - the Little St James - originally in the late 1990s, but subsequently obtained the bigger adjacent island in the year 2016 for around $22.5 million.
The released images indicate he had created ambitious plans to develop the sprawling island by building residences, an performance venue, an submerged workspace and a reservoir.
Visible on the plan is a channel, a strait in the US Virgin Islands, indicated on the lower right-hand corner.
This development map is marked up in notations in red and features a legend labelling various parts of the land.
Alongside the main plan are what look to be nine other property layouts and construction drawings, including designs for boat shelters.
